Dyslexia Wonders

Jenny Smith is not your average teen, not by any stretch of the imagination. Until she was in the eighth grade, the learning disability dyslexia left her without the ability to identify letters, let alone recognize the written word. With a lot of help from teachers who understood the disorder, she overcame the handicap and has been able to move forward with her life.

She thrives on helping others with learning disabilities and has found that new assistive technology is leveling the playing field between those with and those without handicaps. Jenny has experienced first-hand the awesome power of these learning tools and is passionate about getting them into the hands of those who need them and to teach their proper use.

Jenny is entering her senior year at Lansing Christian School. Last year she got straight As, played three varsity sports and she sings like you wouldn’t believe. She has even begun accepting speaking engagements to encourage others to aim high and shoot for their dream.

At Jenny’s website, www.jennyspeaks.com, you can learn more about her, read her daily blogs, order her book Dyslexia Wonders, and find out how to get her to speak at your event. Donations to Jenny’s Wish Foundation, a nonprofit
organization created to help the learning disabled continue their education, are also gladly accepted.

Thank you,
